You know you need to do something about how to organize the clutter, clothing and accessories, kitchen appliances and tools, office items, TV and media center, garage tools and items, seasonal items, sports gear, children’s toys, and on and on.

Here is how it can happen:

1.   Go ahead and dream it.

2.   Let’s sit down and have a wonderful conversation about the vision and options. The process begins with an initial in-home presentation and needs assessment by your experienced and professionally trained design expert. While the presentation will enlighten and educate you about our work and custom closet solutions, the needs assessment helps ensure that your closet is built around you. Your Designer will want to know how important this space is to each person who uses it as well as functional needs like who gets dressed first or who prefers what side of the closet. They’ll make a complete list of your inventory, measuring and surveying every inch of both your existing space and the items to be stored. And of course, there’s a question and answer process to make sure no current or future storage need has been overlooked.

3.   We’ll design and build custom systems for your dream closet, garage, home office, pantry, utility area, entertainment center, etc. based on these items:

·      Budget – Set a budget

·      Purpose of Area – How are you going to use the room, storage area or closet? Who is going to use it?

·      Material, Finishes, Techniques – Look at form and functionality of the storage systems, closets, etc.

·      Floorplan – Measuring and draw the room

·      Construction – Will you require any construction? Will you need sound proofing? Will you have a wet bar and need a sink?

·      Lighting – This sets the mood of the room, closet or storage area. Determine a plan.

·      Flooring – What type of flooring do you currently have in the space? Consider adding a rug to absorb some of the sound.

·      Electrical outlets – Where do you want / need them?

·      Type and size of furniture – Plan out what you need and where. Seating is important. Then, figure out where to buy it.

·      Organizational Storage – What cabinetry and fixtures will you need to house your items?

·      Appliances – Determine what items you will need in any of your rooms or storage areas (refrigerator, microwave, TV, DVD, sound system, speakers, etc.).

·      Artwork – What walls are available? What theme / décor will coordinate with your home décor?

·      Window Treatments – Do you need room darkening shades or curtains?

·      Temperature – Check out the room’s temperature. You may need to bring in an HVAC company to discuss options to make the any of your rooms more comfortable.
